My pathetic state of NM is the most dependent state on the largess of the taxpayer, especially now that our governor declared war on oil and gas.
21.2% of the state is on welfare.
5% works for the federal government, not counting military.
A equal amount are civilian contractors.
So about 1/3 of our state will miss their money come tomorrow.
I will.
The list was so ludicrous that any sane American would be offended.
Johnson is helpfully and patiently explaining that the decades-long season of CR after CR after CR, imposed upon us to facilitate the post-9/11 federal Spend-a-Palooza, is ending.
So Schumer and his friends, in addition to losing the current political battle (Who is to blame for the federal shutdown?), is also fighting, in the old-fashioned and outdated way, the last war.
“I look forward to 13% ghettpotamas going berserk”
Their sacred ghettopotuai are already berserk even when well-fed.
With the loss of the gluttonous govt substinance, they’ll become stark-raving, uncontrollable, rabid animals possibly to the point of having to be shot....oh, and the horror of it will be posted by the MSM for months.
Such should be an article, not a video, even with transcript text walls.
Sorry....no way this makes the Republicans look bad.
And anyone who says the cupboard is bare...is lying.
Macaroni and cheese is 68 cents a box.
A jar of sauce and a pound of macaroni is $3.
A pot of bean soup is $4.
10 lbs potatoes is $5.
Eggs are $2 - $3 a dozen.
Get a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread....
The only people I worry about are the elderly...so check and see if your neighbor needs help.
“The simple truth is the Republicans need to remove the 60 vote minimum in the Senate and go to majority rules.”
Needs to be done like yesterday.
It could come back to haunt us. Repubs are winning in the polling so far. I’d say hold for now.
We will hurt the American people if you don’t give us what we want!”
Sounds like a terrorist tactic. Mob enforcer kind of stuff.
/
Exactly
Mob spawn Pelosi trained them well.
More like ACTUALLY we INTEND to hurt people until they demand that Repooblicans give in to our demands.
Next they will break kneecaps.
“Some of you may die, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.”
The GOP cannot bend to the Dems. They own this shutdown.
EXACTLY WHAT OATH DID THEY ALL TAKE???
We may well see something like that when the SNAP payments stop next week. A majority of SNAP recipients are illegal aliens and a fair percentage of the rest are ferals.
I strongly suspect the Dems are hoping to spark a "Winter of Love" type response in cities around the nation.
Democrats should easily understand why Republicans are not giving in to their terms & why they are being attacked by the American public. If they offered reasonable terms we would probably not be shut down right now. I personally don’t think the government should be shut down, but they MUST operate within certain reasonable constraints. Schumer & his bunch are NOT being reasonable.
“I note that New York has set aside $40 million to cover SNAP costs in that state. The blue states are those most likely to have mass looting. If California, Illinois, Oregon, etc., follow suit, that might forestall riots.”
This is a solid Democrat strategy to defeat the Republicans in the current Fed Gov shutdown. This way their Blue State blighted denizens, will not have to make a media-nightly news spectacle of Walmart theft to “feed their keeds”. These Blue states know that Fed Gov will reimburse them for the money they lay out.
A friend suggests this stand is orchestrated with spawning insurgency as its goal. The timing of the senate calendar makes extended shut down all but a foregone conclusion.
Signing this car right now only goes to November 21 when the whole mess has to begin again.
This is to destroy America. The dems are creating the battle for all the marbles.
