An Indian semi-truck driver who killed three people in California had come to the US in search of a better life, says his friend.
-snip-
After entering the United States illegally, Jashanpreet Singh had been living in Yuba County, California.
CBS reporters spoke to Singh’s friend, Gurjot Malhar, on Wednesday evening. Malhar said that Singh had come to the US in search of a better life and described him as an “amazing” guy.
"He's an amazing guy. ... He would talk normally, happily, always with love and care," Malhar said. “He was like a brother to me.”
"Coming from India, it's gonna be hard to make dollars here. ... So, he wanted to keep going. His big step was trying to be a truck driver,” added Malhar.
It is not immediately clear if Singh was driving with a valid commercial driver's license at the time of the accident. The US had stopped issuing worker visas for commercial truck drivers in August.

The air brake knoweldge test is pretty simple. It's basically just "does the air pressure gauge indicate that the pressure is high enough to operate the brakes? Does the air hiss when applying then releasing the brakes?"
Perhaps he failed because he could not read the numbers on the gauge.
They should tie Newscum and the various DMV officials who mindlessly stamped this trash's license without a single thought as to the consequences to the road where the accident occurred and send a robot semi careening down the road, right over them. Let them know the terror of a huge machine coming inescapably at them. I bet CA and other states would then devote themselves to selecting out illegals from their driver rolls.
The incompetent Indian should suffer greatly for his killing and maiming and so should the DMV official who gave him the license, the company who hired him, and Gov Newsom who looked the other way while 62,000 illegals got CDL’s.
Amen.
