Actually not off topic (as my usual) to say I read that when there’s a sudden horror movie unexpected shock such as the serial killer coming up behind someone, the males start to raise their hands or fists ahead of them to fight and women in a movie theater pull up their legs and hold them at the knees with their hands.
This instinctive reaction came from thousands of years of our ancestors living in the trees. A predator coming up on a woman would reach to grab her feet or legs to pull her down.
Fascinating.
That’s assuming we were ever in the trees...
I think if evolution were the way, that we should have not lost our ability to climb trees and any prehensile tails, AT the same time we attained greater intelligence and sentience! The tree climbing and strength and superior balance would have enhanced our now modern intelligence and reasoning.
Have to disagree with your reasoning, at least as it came to once being in the trees.
