I'll keep voting no until Washington gets serious about balancing the budget.
That is not how destructive addiction works. The problem is that the US government in general and Congress in particular are drug addicts -- in this case, the drug is other people's money, taken at the point of a gun. Enabling the addiction is the US voter wanting "their slice of the pie" at the expense of others.
Remember John F. Kennedy? "Ask not what your country can do for you -- ask what you can do for your country" Interesting words from a 60s Democrat, given the words from the 2025 Democrats today. It is like there are two distinct political parties.
Intervention can only come from the ballot box, at this point. And such intervention won't happen until the taxpayer actually footing the bill is the one who is heard. Or until the whole house of cards collapses.
