BUDAPEST NOT HAPPENING:

per senior White House official, “Secretary Rubio and Foreign Minister Lavrov had a productive call. Therefore, an additional in-person meeting between the Secretary and Foreign Minister is not necessary, and there are no plans for President Trump to meet with President Putin in the immediate future.”

Putin already got what he wanted - stopping the sale of Tomahawks. He has no use for a meeting with Trump. The question is how long will Trump allow himself to be humiliated by Putin. He doesn’t seem to learn (unless Putin has secret leverage that we don’t know about).

Putin has tons of leverage. He knows the West is all talk and isn’t about to do anything real to save a corrupt money laundering enterprise like Ukraine.

As I read this I'm watching a 1943 movie, Mission to Moscow, about the work of Amb. Davies in helping the Soviet Union fight the Nazis. It's like watching a snake and a scorpion in battle, knowing that whichever one you pick to help, when it is over it will turn and bite you with poison. (No, I don't think we should have supported Hitler.)

It is nearly the same today. Putin is not our friend, Russia is not our friend. But Europe has become maybe even a worse enemy, steeped in jihadism and Marxism, so that whichever side we pick to help, when it is over that side will turn and bite us.

Zelensky is a very angry Man about this news.

He will have to spend some extra time at his Bathhouse to relieve his stress.

Isn’t Putin replacing his people, with low birth rates and high suicide rates, with Muslims?

Trump and Putin can meet, or not meet, without Trump becoming humiliated.

Trump seems to be able to bend things to his advantage, if not immediately, then at least over time. Others can’t do this, but that’s not our concern.

Good, no need to waste time. You can’t end something neither side wants to end. Leave them alone.

Trump didn’t know the Tomahawks would break a treaty. That’s his staff’s fault. It should never have been brought up.

Just as well. It becomes more and more evident that meetings with Putin or Zelensky are exercises in futility.

Both of them are greedy and selfish and they just want to see what they can get out of our country.

Putin thinks he’s winning, so why negotiate?

Cry Havoc
And let slip the dogs of war

After Zelensky’s Friday performance…a tantrum over not getting US Tomahawks ( ridiculous)….there was no settlement to discuss

Meanwhile Z back to collaborating with the EU on seizing $200 Billion in frozen Russian assets ….that won’t end well

But Europe has become maybe even a worse enemy, steeped in jihadism and Marxism

This is simply nonsense. At least where I'm sitting in Europe right now, I'm not seeing too much jihadism or Marxism.

Europe has the same problem as we do, but only worse: an entrenched culturally left oligarchy that gives every excuse to Muslim terror and cultural Marxism and wants expensive European labor replaced with cheap and politically compliant migrants. Just like in the US, they have maintained a death grip on the state and other institutions.

That regime has cracked in Italy, Hungary and never really took root in Poland. It would crack in France and Germany except for the conspiracy of the "radical center" to shut-out the right completely from politics. That's beginning to change slowly in Germany with some CDU officials beginning to talk about dumping the alliance with the SPD and making a new coalition with the AfD. France is completely deadlocked right now. Macron should resign, but won't. I would not be surprised if the French Army stepped in, removed him, and forced new elections. The worst is Britain, where the Labour regime is turning Britain into a police state to support replacement levels of immigration. King Charles should dissolve Parliament, but is probably too much a coward to do it.

There are a lot of Europeans fighting for their future, but they've been cheated and bamboozled just like we were in 2020.

Zelensky terrorists are on the loose in Hungary to block negotiations, as usual.

Blasts hit Romanian, Hungarian oil refineries tied to Russia October 21, 2025

"In light of recent Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil infrastructure, local authorities have not ruled out the possibility that the incident was a deliberate act. Yet, other potential causes, such as human error or technical malfunction, are also being considered, according to Vilaggazdasag.

An explosion also occurred at Hungary's largest oil refinery, located in the city of Szazhalombatta, which receives crude oil from Russia, according to Hungarian media outlet Telex."
