Solid state drives have no moving parts and will outlast you.

Paul's probably will. Those who are running 24/7 databases or ongoingsurveillance camera dumps, not so much.

Most newer SSDs area faster than old ones, especially if the new one is NvME and the old one is SATA or USB.

What I’m seeing claimed on Ubiquiti forums is that modern SSDs can handle so many rewrites that even in surveillance use, you’re typically good for 10 years and more.
