The CCP treats Christians almost as badly, because up until very recently Christianity was growing very fast in China. Both are a threat to the Party and have to be either modified or destroyed.

The muslims are the most heavily repressed, demonstrating that the Party occasionally does good work.

I believe I read that the Christians now much use a Party approved version of the Bible.
