Affordable primary care clinics run by Planned Parenthood will close their locations in Orange and San Bernardino counties as the Trump Administration blocks federal funding for the nonprofit, the organization announced Monday.
Melody Health is a branch of Planned Parenthood, and the impacted locations include Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Mission Viejo, Santa Ana, Westminster, San Bernardino and Upland.
As the Trump administration is preventing abortion service providers, such as Planned Parenthood, from receiving federal grants, the nonprofit said it cannot afford to keep the door open at Melody Health clinics.
The last day of operations for the clinics will be Dec. 10.
“We know our neighborhood health centers are a lifeline for over 130,000 patients in Orange and San Bernardino Counties alone. We are the only health care provider many of these patients see,” Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties President and CEO Krista Hollinger said in a statement. “Unfortunately, we are now in an unprecedented situation with the defunding, and a deeply painful reality has been forced on us.”
Hollinger also said it’s "devastating" to eliminate jobs for 81 people who worked for the clinics.

GREAT news. Planned extermination centers lose funding.
I laughed when, about 4 years ago, Planned Parenthood announced the opening of a new PP “super store” in my large city. I don’t know what it’s being used for now.
Super store?
