Trump is putting the wood to India for buying Russian oil. Stopping the influx of Indian H1Bs is a cherry on top. Having retired from IT I have resentment for cheap labor Indian H1Bs replacing American IT workers.

Past due. Ban ALL Incoming from India for the next 100 years unless you want the USA to turn i to a third world, blue elephant worshipping caste society. Once they gain political power they are changing everything over to Indian names and traditions. They have taken over entire small cities already and it is not being discussed.
There should be no Diversity Visa program at all. Evaluate immigrants and temporary workers by their health, their skills, and their ability to contributed to the US economy. Unhealthy individuals who pose a public health risk and anyone with not capable of being self supporting due to health conditions or marketable skill set should be rejected. Anyone who has committed a crime or belongs to an organization opposed to the US or involved in terrorism should be rejected. Any potential immigrant of Visa holder who has publicly defamed or stated hatred for this country should not be admitted. Country of origin, race, religion, gender or ethnicity should not be a factor in immigration decisions.
Refugees who claim some fear or hardship in their native countries should no longer be admitted for those reasons. The only reason to accept an immigrant is if that immigrant will contribute to the general welfare of the country, not be a burden on society, and is supportive of the American system of government as well as the free enterprise system.
Given the unprecedented number of immigrates (legal and legal) admitted over the past 30 years it is time for a serious debate as to how many immigrants of any kind should be admitted each year. The tens of millions who have poured into the country over the last 30 years have overwhelmed public services in many communities and many immigrants have not assimilated well. Illegal immigration should be ended completely and any illegals deported. Legal immigration should be limited to numbers the nation can absorb each year without burdening the taxpayer at the federal, state or local level.
Kick out the Indians.
