That’s a sad ending. It was somebody’s clumsy decision to leave the car door swinging wide open. I doubt that it was malicious, but that is one of the dangers of bike riding in traffic.
I’ve never heard of this actress before, but I don’t keep up with current German Media in any way.
I did, somewhat, during the Brexit vs EU Battle years, but not now.

Defensive bicycle riding is as important as defensive driving with an automobile. Any car door could be opened at any time. Keeping a good distance from such risks or passing at a low speed is only prudent.
