Sleeper was always my favorite Woody Allen movie.
He woke up in the future and it turned out that smoking and chocolate were good for you after all!

Yikes...
Every couple months, another well known actor from my youth dies, or withdraws from the social world because of dementia or now useless cosmetic surgery.

"Annie Hall may have been the cretin Woody Allen’s best work."
Yeah, maybe so.
To: cgbg
Yes, I understand those who think his early pure comedies were his best. But I suspect they are most appreciated when you are 15 or younger.
To: Jane Long
The character of Annie Hall was written for Keaton which may explain why she was tone deaf and shallow enough to defend Allen far more vociferously than necessary.

Agreed. May the peace of God help her family.
To: blueyon
I never liked her in Godfather the whole thing of her not being Italian given the family's situation and especially Michael's view of family didn't strike me as credible.

I loved her in Annie Hall and the Godfather I and II (I have absolutely no use for III). May she RIP.

How is it not a tragedy?
Much too young.
==============================
Based on what?
10 The days of our years in them are threescore and ten years. But if in the strong they be fourscore years: and what is more of them is labour and sorrow. (Psalm 89:10, Douay-Rheims)
From Perplexity.ai:
The life expectancy in the U.S. for 2021 was about 73.5 years for men and 79.3 years for women on average.

79 is the new 90.
I’ll leave it at that.

Woody Allen outlives another one.
Now I am picturing Woody Allen playing Gin Rummy with Keith Richards with a six of Black Label and a black and white tube TV playing college football in the background. Unlikely, but the image was put there somehow.

“...I did not like her in the Godfather- any of the films.”
Maybe we weren’t supposed to - I’ve never read the book, so I can’t say.
Every time we watch G I the Wyf and I yell at the screen for her, Khartoum and Apollonia to getthehell out of there.
