Interesting thought. Since Tesla’s are basically software, I wonder if the owner reports it stolen if it can be located electronically or if they can simply tell the charging stations to not charge it and/or report its location.

My guess is no, because that would violate the thief’s privacy or some other lunatic reason.

You can turn that car off with your cell phone. Beyond that, You can locate it the same way.

The thieves today are very sophisticated. They actually have software and hardware to break into just about anything.
