I'm watching now. Both teams had opportunities in extra innings, but nobody wants to score a run. By the way, four playoff games in MLB history have gone a record 18 innings.

Great game. Toronto will face one tired a** pitching staff, regardless.

Seattle won...Congratulations to Mariners...
Mariners vs Blue Jays...I am sure that TV people are disappointed that ratings will be poor...No Red Sox or Yankees...

good job of starting this thread with less than 15 minutes of the game still to go.
seriously, who would want a long discussion thread on this series

Teams combined 3 for 20 runners in scoring position and 22 left on base.

Ratings disaster, but these were the two best teams in the AL this year. The Red Sox and Yankees had major flaws, exposed in the post-season.
FOX will broadcast the World Series this year and they will hate a Brewers-Blue Jays World Series.

The people in the stands are definitely getting their money’s worth.

More like Dodgers-Blue Jays

The “American” League Championship Series is going to be played entirely on foreign soil - Toronto, Ontario, Canada and The People’s Republic of Seattle, Washington . . .

The people in the stands are definitely getting their money’s worth. 4 hours and 58 minutes...Longest deciding game in baseball history...According to ESPN Baseball Tonight... People who attended that game...Part of history...

While we’re on the subject…..
For just a brief moment, the Phillies pitcher forgets how to play baseball.….

After the Rangers' victory in '93, there are still five clubs who've never won the World Serious: Padres, Rays, Rockies, MARINERS and BREWERS.

It happened to me when I was 10, playing second base with the winning run on third base in the last inning. The batter hit a wicked line drive that one-hopped and hit me in the shin. OUCH! I picked up the ball, but suddenly I couldn’t remember how many outs we had; thus I didn’t know whether to throw it to home or to first. Spasmodically, I threw it BETWEEN them.....................................To this day, I have no idea how many outs we had.

That was a grinder!
The “good” is, my Mariners finally made it to an AL championship
The “bad” is that the Blue Jay fans, who are obnoxious, will invade Seattle for the games here.

Correct, but pity the poor Cleveland Indians (or whatever they call themselves these days). They have the longest World Series title draught of any team. Last WS title came in 1948.
