Do you know who Lyle Mays is?
No.
Bye.
I miss Lyle. Still Life and all the rest. Honored to have seen him play many, many times. Great memories from a musical genius. Pat’s no slouch either, but as a bassist - Steve Rodby is the man.
I’ve got lots of his stuff from the 80s.
Now that I have a turntable, I can play it again.
Hey man, that’s good to go.
To the End of the World.
17/4.
This is a difficult time for mankind.
And it’s such a great groove.
I’m a Wes Montgomery and Clint Strong type of guy. But Pats cool.
That’s good to go, man.
Lyle Mays was a great musician, and had a beautiful mind.

She said about her albums,
This is how much I love Wes, and this is how much I love Wes...
DownBeat magazine. I'm not going to look it up.
Thanks, brother.
My pleasure! I was surprised that only one, or perhaps two, duplicates were in there. I left out one because the link was dead (YT copyright complaint). The San Lorenzo cover I’d posted in there somewhere wasn’t entirely satisfactory, so I’ve some more to consider.

I learned “Letter From Home” on the piano a few years ago.
This was probably my favorite iteration of the PMG. Listened to this record a million times. I saw the band perform at the Universal Amphitheater in Hollywood/Burbank and it was divine, one of the highest quality shows I’ve ever been to.
Back at GA Southern, I made Dean's List.
Ten A's and one C. The C was in Piano.
Hey, man, that’s cool. Wish I could have been there.
Yes, and yes.
