Genesis 3:15
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
I just love it when the ignorant demonstrate their stupidity ... Since when does a snake have ‘seed’?????? Parable of the FIG tree!!!!!
Both passages link angelic sin to “going after strange flesh,” using the Sodom comparison as a type of illicit union, not as the same event. Early Church Fathers such as Tertullian, Justin Martyr, and Lactantius understood it this way, and modern scholars like Michael Heiser have shown that bene ha’elohim (“sons of God”) in Genesis 6 always refers to divine beings, never humans.
You don’t have to accept that interpretation, but it isn’t a modern invention—it’s the oldest and most consistent reading of the text.
