The armchair generals should be on the front lines.

Russia has chosen to execute a war of attrition that wears down Ukrainians’ will to fight.

Russia has been forced to fight a war of attrition because it could not win a war of fast maneuver. It lost that battle early on.

Russia can both be defeatable and a serious threat to peace.

Proponents of Russian power similarly make claims that Russia is invincible and it is no threat to the rest of Europe.

Just propaganda by both sides.

Russia is a “paper tiger.”

Yet still prevailing despite NATO spending multiple times Russia’s military budget.

if these generals cannot see the advantage to pumping up russia, who sits on china’s border, while focusing efforts towards china instead of removing china’s enemy...

then we really don’t need those generals.

they’re morons.

Odd - I recall being mocked here about two years ago pointing out that the MIC and new world types wanted to take Russia and incorporate it and it’s resources into the ‘western’ system - and I believe that has been their goal for many decades.

It’s a bit shocking when you realize that any earthly ‘side’ you take is a villain.

Iraq, and Afghanistan actions by the US are completely different than the actions pitin has done.
The US never sought territorial gains, never went scorched earth as Russia has.

There is no comparison between these “wars”.

The Ukraine was the darling of the Soviet Union. In the Soviet era, it was entrusted with nuclear weapons, nuclear power plants and hardened underground munitions plants.

Iraq bought Soviet era junk at the garage sale.

Afghanistan’s only weapons were Soviet light arms followed by Biden’s “gift” of American arms.

If there is any similarity between these actions, it is that they are not wars, at all.

Russia is a paper tiger, the Russian juggernaut will steamroll Europe; both can’t be true.

"These same voices usually ignore America’s ten-year war in Iraq and twenty-year war in Afghanistan."

For how many of those years were, Clinton, Obama, and Biden in charge? Why would you ever expect those administrations to make useful decisions?
