A guy t-boned me right at the filler tube once and first thing I did was fill up to see if I had to get to the shop on what was already in the tank.

In case anyone didn’t do a search on Rich Rebuilds on post 34 you should. Really interesting.

Also confirms my “you couldn’t give me a Tesla”

They just keep making regular gas cars that easier to keep.

Sadly, if you need a new vehicle that will run on gas, it will most likely be an import and not American made (outside of full-sized trucks).

More downside to high tech.

You’re gonna make me turn on my 8 track player and listen to some Who cartridge songs to get out of my bad mood.

Couldn’t even get out of my driveway, much less make to the NF location where I take the dog to walk me every day.

Battery could be seriously damaged internally as a result of a collision without showing any visible external damage. This is probably true with automotive starting batteries, they can also freeze when partially discharged, and do bad, bad things many months later.

My “import” was assembled in my state and has more than 60% U.S. content. That’s better than many “domestic” models.

Everything they do is about control... They are obsessed with control. They are enslaving us with technology. For our own safety and convenience of course.

I have a feeling that was a sarcastic reply. To me it was so obvious it didn’t need the /s/.

So I wonder where the “biased ignorance” really lies?

I will never have that problem, for I will never buy an EV.

My favorite vehicle is our 1997 Silverado. GM no longer supports it, but just about any part can be bought locally to keep it going. And the parts are dirt cheap.

And I can still find parts to keep our 1952 Dodge running.

The Silverado is 28 years old, will the EV’s still be on the road after 28 years?
