Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez was rushed to hospital with critical injuries in Indianapolis on Saturday morning after allegedly being stabbed in the chest during a dispute with a food delivery driver.
Police were called to downtown Indianapolis at around 12:30am following reports of a disturbance before finding two injured people, one of whom was Sanchez.
The 38-year-old, who was in town to cover Sunday's NFL game between the Colts and the Las Vegas Raiders as a commentator for Fox Sports, is now recovering at a local hospital in 'stable' condition, the network has announced.

I was watching Fox News, and no one even mentioned his condition for the first hour.
Fox never showed any graphic video while I watched.
For me, the un-natural silence meant he was Dead, or very close to Dead.
Some delivery drivers think they’re equal to a school bus in what right-of-way privilege they have. I’ve seen Amazon vans parked in the road where the speed limit is 50 mph and in a no passing zone with no shoulder. USE THE DAMNED DRIVEWAY, STUPID!

There was some sort of disconnect between what was being leaked out about Charlie Kirks condition for an hour or so, stable, with a pulse, etc. Then all of a sudden there was this, he’s been dead over an hour. Better announce it. So sad.
Apparently there is video. I guess we shall see.
Let me put it out there now that if I am ever stabbed in the chest I probably won’t be “cooperative” with the police.

In such a situation, I think “serious but stable condition” is standard hospital boilerplate.

I don’t know why people are taking the side of the ballplayer, they’re usually the problem. Being in the NFL is probable-cause as far as I’m concerned.

Sanchez wasn’t the only participant hospitalized. The New York Post has a photo of the driver that will change your mind.
I’m not really following the story. It’s old news by now. In general though, the comment I made is true for people like me who are tired of hearing about that kind of thing.
