I'll change the monarchy when I'm king, says Prince William

The Prince of Wales has said he will bring change to the monarchy when he is king, in an interview palace sources say is the most open Prince William has ever been.

The Prince was speaking to the actor Eugene Levy in Windsor, for the Apple TV+ show The Reluctant Traveller.

In a revealing conversation, the actor asked Prince William about his future role as King.

"I think it's safe to say that change is on my agenda," he said. "Change for good, and I embrace that, I enjoy that change. I don't fear it, that's the bit that excites me, the idea of being able to bring some change. Not overly radical, but changes that I think need to happen."

The prince made the comments as he gave Levy a tour of Windsor Castle.

William arrived to meet the actor on an electric scooter that he said he used to get around the castle grounds.

He said he had been a fan of the American Pie series of films – the bawdy coming-of-age movies in which Levy played a long-suffering father.

During the tour of some of the castle's grandest rooms, Prince William also spoke about his family history.

"I think if you're not careful, history can be a real weight and an anchor around you, and you can feel suffocated by it, and restricted by it too much.

And I think it's important to live for the here and now."

Prince Willam stresses the importance of tradition but says he isn't afraid to ask questions to keep the monarchy relevant.

"There are points when you look at tradition and go, is that still fit for purpose today? Is that still the right thing to do? Are we still doing and having the most impact we could be having?

He somehow needs to retrieve some of the lost monarchial powers. The monarchy needs to have enough power to restrain Parliament when it losses its mind and goes into democratic excess. Like its doing now!

The Monarch used to check the Parliament.

And within the Parliament, the House of Lords used to check the House of Commons.

So their system worked much better 100 or 200 years ago.

The British Parliament has the power to abolish the monarchy. Here today, gone tomorrow. That (among other things) will probably keep William quiet and timid once he takes the throne.

But the monarch has the bully pulpit. And he is the commander-in-chief.

So when is enough, enough? At some point the monarch will have to roll the dice - that or his country is gone forever.

If William had any real regard for his country and his own family, he would end the ridiculous facade of hereditary “royalty”, void all the silly titles and abdicate.

Yes I know and that’s the inherent problem!
Like I said on an earlier post a textbook case on the dangers of unconstrained democracy.

...........”Parliament has the power to abolish the monarchy”

But they shouldn’t because kings, queens and palaces are great tourist attrations, bring money into the country.

I looked something up since my last post (#26). The law firm at the link below says that the British monarch has the power to dissolve Parliament on his own.

That power was evidently restored to the monarch by the Dissolution and Calling of Parliament Act of 2022. However, not every site I checked agrees.

The British royal family is a business, or more accurately, a racket in which the pageantry, deference, and even the scandals obscure highly lucrative money grubbing. The British royal family’s most closely guarded secret is the details of the billions the royals have in private investments, often covertly benefitting from and influencing British public policy. On the whole, British royal family investments tend to skew globalist and to the Left. It is easy enough to imagine William as more woke than Charles.

He doesn’t say what any of this change will be? Becoming a Muslim to fit in with English society?

I hope they all go the way of the dodo. I was never a royalist, but I didn’t despise them either. But do they ever do anything other than make appearances and wear fancy hats? Did wife and mother Kate speak up for baby Alfie Evans during Trump’s first term? Had Alfie been a royal baby I doubt the plug would have been pulled.

Do they speak up for the British people about them being arrested for speaking their minds on Facebook? Do they speak up about the invaders that have been allowed to take over? Did they ever show any interest in Rotherham? It could never happen to Kate and William’s kids so obviously they don’t care two shiites what happens to the populace’s daughters. Their silence indicates they are good with all that forced multiculturalism and the degradation of and violence to British culture that comes with it.

Daddy Charles may even be a Muslim convert since the 90s. I’ve heard rumors about it for awhile now.

They seem to be a tad bit on the demonic side to put it in an understated British kind of way. To hell with all these complicit elites.

From Chat GPT:
The Rotherham grooming scandal, spanning from the late 1980s to 2013, is one of the most egregious child sexual exploitation cases in UK history. An independent inquiry led by Professor Alexis Jay in 2014 revealed that at least 1,400 children—predominantly white girls aged 11 to 16—were sexually exploited over a 16-year period. The abuse involved grooming gangs, primarily of Pakistani heritage, who trafficked, raped, and assaulted vulnerable minors, often from care homes or troubled backgrounds. Many victims were criminalized, while perpetrators were allowed to operate with impunity.

The same is increasingly said about monarchies. :->

That is a very good question.

But considering what the PoW just did to the UK’s enemedia and the Royal Rota, there may be hope.

We can say that William is definitely more conservative than Harry. Harry and that wife of his are truly wokies.

Don’t confuse that with Big Mike who is definitely wookie. 🤡🤡
