I would say use it to pay down the Debt, but without huge spending cuts it won’t make any difference.
Meant to buy 2026. But yeah, a bad idea for our country.

Uh... once the national debt is reduced down to zero... maybe then start handing out “free money” to legal citizens. But not unless or until that happens (which logically probably means never).

I don’t want the money given out at all. But if it is, undoubtedly it will go as welfare to people who pay no income tax, and not to people like me who pays tons of federal income and “doesn’t need” a rebate
If there is even one Dollar of deficit spending in an annual budget, then there is no 'dividend' to distribute.
And in addition any annual budget surplus should be put towards paying down the $38 Trillion National Debt.
I’m sure the checks will be sent right after the DOGE checks.

Interest rates will lower that accumulating debt. That debt needs a long term solution. It'll come. Hope 4 years will make a difference.

Well all the billions coming in from tariffs should help offset the debt ($37 trillion) a tiny bit. But it needs to be paid down to zero before any more handouts are made. And even IF we took in $150 billion each year over the next three years, that still doesn’t make a dent (only $600 billion during Trump’s 4-year term) in that debt. No, they have to drastically cut spending, too and I don’t see that happening.

We need to win the midterms in 2026. Trump is not trying to get voters in California and New York to support him. He is trying to solidify his support from flyover America.
For mid-term election year 2026 a ‘perfect’ idea.
