Three teabags of green tea a day helps preserve muscle even if obese. It also helps with glucose regulation.

I read that it’s also good for the kidneys and the urinary tract.

How does one get a mouse to drink three cups of any type of tea in one day?

I 5hink i remember reading that tea is high in oxalates? If so, folks with kidney disease need to be aware of that.

Green Tea? I’m sure it’s probably healthy, but it tastes like Au de lined loose leaf paper. Even Oolong has more pep to it’s step. At the same time, I know that if I had diabetes (especially Type 1) I would consider all remedies and methods to regulate my glucose.

White tea has 60% of the EGCG of green tea and other antioxidants green tea does not.

They shoved an extract down their throats, but only the amount needed to equate to three teabags for a human—but for a mouse’s size.

Indeed! I have heard of White Tea, but know very little about it. I think I ve seen it listed as one of the natural ingredients in bottled fruit drinks.

I drink Lipton Green Tea, not as a hot tea, but as bottled teas: Mango/Pineapple and a Mixed Berry. I can grab it and go. It does have artificial sweetener, but I would add that to hot tea anyway.

What would be the scientific answer to, is this like the 2 capsules a day of Nature’s Bounty Green Tea with 315 mg (630 in 2) or not? I’ve been trying that lately. “Green Tea Extract” in capsule form.

FR nutrition experts please chime in. Thanks in advance.

Answer: All the volunteer study mice who answered the ad in Mickey Mouse comics were incentivized with big rations of cheese if they could keep up the green tea drinking.

Note:
New Mickey Mouse comic books are being printed and published. The current publisher of new material is Fantagraphics, which will be resuming the Mickey Mouse comic series in November 2025.

Living in Japan, green tea drinks are everywhere and the Dodger's Shohei Ohtani is promoting one of the top brands: Oi Ocha (ocha is the name for green tea in Japanese).

And matcha (powdered green tea) is increasingly been used in all sorts of desserts and as a substitute for coffee.  Matcha ice cream is especially delightful.
