New York is not quite as bad but, still, two thirds of fourth-graders are not proficient in math and reading and 12th-grade scores have dropped to levels not seen since 1992 in reading and 2005 in math.

Circa 1960 I attended the Theran American school. Accademically it was an excellent school. The school used the New York State standards of education which in 1960 were one of the best if not the best.

That once mighty state has fallen.

In 2017, the state of New York passed a law requiring prospective school teachers to take a literacy test to get their license, but repealed it the following year because 36 percent of whites, 54 percent of Hispanics and 59 percent of blacks failed on the first try.

I forgot to add this about my school in Tehran. Most of the kids were children of US Army personnel, embassy workers, engineers, contractors, etc. It reflected ethnicity, races, culture and regions of the USA. We had no cultural animosities, racial animosities etc. in our school. The extreme cultural and racial divides in this nation are a result of the propaganda of the left. Saul Alinsky wrote the book for cultural and racial disruption, “Rules for Radicals.”
The left read it and it is virtually the operational handbook for the democrat party.
