The manufacturer I work for had a surprise inspection by a representative of OSHA two days ago. He’s coming back today for a meeting with bigwigs and safety people to discuss his findings.
We didn’t do badly in the inspection, but I think our safety director wishes this OSHA guy was on furlough.
Usually, OSHA only responds to lost time occurances rates or direct complaints claiming unsafe practices. If you have OSHA in your facility you already reported the data which brought them to your doorstep. There should be no surprises unless your managers were playing dangerous games.
