He isn’t the State Guard CiC. Guard units (Air and Ground) are assets under the Dept of War. CinC is the President. The governors don’t write the fitreps for these servicemen. As such they can be federalized without the Governors consent as happened in Oregon where the admin sidestepped an activist judge over deployment of Oregon Guard members by deploying the Cal Guard. I doubt Newsome concurred.

Whenever democrats say “protect healthcare”, what they really mean is protect taxpayer-funded free health care for ILLEGALS, and protecting the monopoly that they wish to impose on us.
People ought to file an anti-trust suit against the government for their role in ruining health care, education, and anything else that the government has run into the ground.
I voted for Perot the first time. It amazes me that I was so blind about W; I feel sick when I see a Bush these days. Maybe Perot wasn’t old enough to feel the risk was acceptable, or maybe his daughter wasn’t as squeaky clean as the Trump family. I will never forget the look on HilLIARy’s face when she complimented the Trump kids. There was a tone of wonder and frustration in her voice, along with the threat. He should write a parenting book about how to raise ethical, upright children.
President Trump was truly Heaven sent. I’m worried the $1 coin is a sign he won’t survive his term.

Bukele needs to read the US Constitution as do many on this site. In our system impeachment is roughly the equivalent of a grand jury indictment. Its really primarily a House of Representatives political act because all you need to get a bill of impeachment through is to coral up enough votes for a simple majority in the House. It then goes to the Senate for trial where you need 2/3rds majority for removal. If there’s was a crime committed then a criminal trial. How many times in the last 30 years have we had this process demonstrated? Three!
For federal judges the last federal judge impeached convicted and removed was Alcee Hastings. Done so for bribery! Unfortunately the federal prosecutor failed to get the job done during the bribery trial and Hastings was found not guilty. He later ran for Congress and won, died in office.

Do military personnel who transport the President on Air Force 1, Marine 1, and Navy 1 get more pay, ribbons, benefits, or combat veteran designations? I’m trying to figure out why he stressed that so much in his speech to the sailors.

Turns out, it happened in a Chicago neighborhood, not broadview.
DHS originally said the shooting happened while agents were patrolling in Broadview, where the department has a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility that has been the site of ongoing protests and clashes between agents and demonstrators. But officials later confirmed the incident happened near 40th Street and Kedzie Avenue in Chicago.
