Ha. Hope it’s not knowledge you gained from personal experience.
Ray Bradbury saw a police report in Ireland of a traffic ticket issued to a local man by a police officer for being drunk and in charge of a bicycle.
Became the theme of a chapter in Zen and the Art of Writing.
Nope, not from personal experience.
“The possum”, country and western singer George Jones, was arrested for taking his riding lawn mower to town to get more booze. He was on the road, but on the ‘shoulder’ when pulled over.
There’s articles every year about some drunk guy getting arrested on a horse, lawn mower, bicycle, etc.
I know of a guy who got arrested at NAB Coronado for being drunk while riding his bike up to the gate guard from off-base. He pulled out his ID, but never put his foot down to ‘catch’ himself. Ended up falling over, of course. Shore patrol ended up impounding his bike, and taking him to the base brig. But, this was in the late 80’s early 90’s.
