Slavery was slavery. The slaves brought to the USA - only 6% of the trans-Atlantic slave trade, BTW - were made slaves by AFRICANS and ARABS. White Europeans didn’t penetrate Africa and round up slaved. They BOUGHT them along the coast.
And I’m not sure being a slave TO BE SACRIFICED TO NATIVE GODS was better than being a slave in Georgia.
