Twelve small homes sit upon acres of manicured lawn in the Texas countryside.
Under the warm sun, the residents that call this gated community home live a rather idyllic life: there’s a fit pit, yoga, book club and a swimming pool.
It’s peaceful and supportive. And for those that want to live here there are two simple rules: no men, and no drama.
The Bird’s Nest is a five-acre women-only commune, and the brainchild of 70-year-old Robyn Yerian.

With you all the way. All girls’ high school and don’t remember any drama, other than on stage. I’ve worked in mostly male environments and any dramas were 50-50. At that stage of my life, the majority of my friendships were male, as they were from babyhood.
When I got into Star Trek fandom, the genre I was in was almost totally female and ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. There were cliques, but there are always cliques. I discovered how fantastic female friendships were and how strong they were everywhere I went. It was a time of workshops and sleepovers and people to stay with all over the country. It was also a time of intense creative work together. Total joy.
Women are natural socialists. This is why feminism is turning into communism.
They just nag each other to death.

I put my son to work Offshore when he got out of high school. I picked him up when the helicopter landed near Houma. On the long drive home I asked him what he had learned. Three things. One, the lifeboats have enough fuel to get all the way to the shore so escape as possible. Two social status intelligence and dignity are not an equivalency. Three if you can’t carry your load and don’t get along, you can’t stay; if you can’t, you will be found out, rooted out and most likely leave.
Lord willing, he retires from the Air Force soon. The lessons he’s learned Offshore and there have served him well. I have always been proud of him. I am exceptionally proud of the man and the leader he has become.

Over a number of years women at my workplace said openly “I will take a male boss over a woman any day (others nodded). They’re more compassionate and understanding and steady in their rules, unlike women bosses.”
So the memoirs of Catholic nuns or the nuns in Self Realization Fellowship (Paramhamsa Yogananda) say it’s all peachy?
A documentary about some young nuns who still wear traditional habits had a couple of memories of feeling so put down and hurt by cruel convent leaders that they nearly left the Faith over it.
Some in the yoga organization did give it up over the harshness of other women.
Men wouldn't have to declare "no women allowed". The women would have to cope with a lot of Olympic belching and farting, and the enduring smell of Hoppes #9.

Once that would have been in the deep woods but now animals such as bears and alligators are coming into yards and looking for food on decks and sneaking inside the house.
So that martial arts training against the animal kingdom will come in handy.

My father retired to a ranch in Northern New Mexico. It was over 800 acres on top of a mesa surrounded by national forest.
He decided to sell it and move closer to his grandkids.
A group of women showed up and announced that they were vegetarians.
Pop asked, “Well, what are you going to do with a cattle ranch?”
The women bought the ranch and turned it into a lesbian nudist retreat.
Pop said, “We’re gonna have to rename it Rancho Queero”.
Note that Rancho Cuero would refer to leather.
I bet all the smoke detectors have low battery chirps.

Spoiler of ending: He decides to become mature and adult and wins the charms of the Kirstie Alley character who drives a symbolic Volvo to show conventionality and stability. She spurns him until the end when after his several days of politely asking her to dinner she says “I guess I can use some of that lip balm stuff of yours.” He hands her the Chap Stick but she instead pouts her lips and kisses him. “Does this mean you’re finally going out to dinner with me?” “Let’s talk about it at breakfast.”
