Barack and Michelle Obama have put on a rare show of unity by jetting off on a lavish getaway together - after months of swirling speculation about their marriage.
The couple seemed to put the ongoing divorce rumors to rest as they soaked up the sun in Portofino, Italy, aboard their pal Steven Spielberg's $250 million superyacht over the weekend.
The pair notably arrived separate from one another, however, with photographers catching a solo Michelle, 61, getting onto the luxurious, 357-foot boat via a tender ahead of her husband.
She donned some baggy jeans, a matching denim button-down top, with a white tank top underneath, and some brown and silver Birkenstocks.
Spielberg, 78, greeted her with his arms open wide before he gave her a warm hug.
The two were then seen sitting on the deck of his superyacht, called the Seven Seas, chatting happily together, with a woman who appeared to be his wife, Kate Capshaw, 71.
Later on, Barack, 64, appeared somber as he arrived in the picturesque Italian seaside village alongside some security.
He was dressed casually in a brown top and white cap.
The morning after Barack joined his wife on the yacht, the group enjoyed breakfast on the deck, before they headed ashore to Punta Chiappa for lunch.
At one point, Barack - who wore a black polo shirt - was pictured sitting alone staring intently at what appeared to be a tablet or laptop.
Their vacation comes days after the former president made a startling marriage confession.
During an appearance at the Jefferson Educational Society event in Erie, Pennsylvania, earlier this month, Barack joked that he had spent much of his time since leaving office trying to appease his wife, which he described as 'challenging.'

Who cares? I’m actually kind of happy she is making him suffer.
The worst thing about hypocrites... Is that they continue to live like hogs on yachts worth tens of millions and then they preach to you that you’re causing too much Co2... That you need to use mercury filled light-bulbs, that you need to drive electric cars with no resale value, and that you are the reason why this planet is warming up... They then tax you while they pay no taxes and they take those taxes and give them to their friends, who then invite them to dine on yachts worth tens of millions of dollars.
Barack has come full circle now. Started out throwing his “pastor of 20 years” and his mother under the bus. Now he’s throwing his beard Michael under the bus.
I guess he could really cap it off if he threw his two daughters under the bus.
That boat thing is a ship, I seriously doubt the US Coast Guard has a single ship 350 plus feet long left in the old arsenal. I think the Phillipine Navy all the old long hand-me-down 378 footers.
I bet some of the most cutting anti-Mooch posts here on FR come from Barak.
