Polish President Karol Nawrocki said Poland must do everything to ensure “Katyn never happens again” as the remains of 15 victims of the World War II-era Soviet massacre were laid to rest in a solemn ceremony in Warsaw.
The event, held on Wednesday, coincided with the 86th anniversary of the Soviet invasion of Poland.

Pro tip: It was the Russians who committed the atrocity, and attempted (rather poorly)to blame German forces.

It looks like there was another massacre at a place called Khatyn in Belorussia in 1943 as retaliation for partisan attacks.. Not to be confused with the Katyn Forest executions in 1940. Katyn Forest is a different place in Russia. It seems that Parity poster is trying to muddy the waters for some reason.

Though the killings also occurred in the Kalinin and Kharkiv NKVD prisons and elsewhere, the massacre is named after the Katyn forest.
