FTA——Some 200 military musicians then gathered to take part in the historic Beating Retreat ceremony, which dates back to the 17th century and symbolizes the closing of military camp gates and lowering of ceremonial flags at the end of each day.
The British Massed Band, joined by the US Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, played military standards — including “Yankee Doodle Dandy” — under an overcast sky.
The president and the king applauded as a flyover of the Red Arrows, the Royal Air Force’s aerobatic team, concluded the ceremony.
I love England. Been there twice, and I would love to go back. Agree with what you said. Every square foot oozes history.
I hope the UK can be saved and cleanses itself of the filthy invaders.
Yes, nobody does beautiful ceremony like the Brits.
Thanks for the link.
Maybe not it takes time to get the body back to par stage it’s a huge battle for the body to endure.
Hope she beats it for a long happy life.
She’s always been rail-thin. Add on a layer of cancer treatment and it seems reasonable she looks so thin.
She is the definition of elegance and grace, from the moment she came on the scene, she struck me as what a “princess” should embody.
I hope so too. I really like her unlike Meghan.
No, that's her hair. I follow her pix frequently. She lightened her hair during their summer vacation and it has yet to grow back to her natural auburn brown. She often has a brown rinse or root touch-ups in the winter months to cover any gray hairs, as she is in her early 40s.
What am I missing? Where does that appear in the article?
It wasn't a royal procession, per se; that would be the annual procession of the Knights of the Order of the Garter or similar displays of crowned and titled folks. That today was a British military parade.
We had a spectacular military parade this summer on June 14, 2025 in DC, celebrating the 250th birthday of the U.S. Army. It was phenomenal, and well worth watching on YouTube. It included representatives of every army division, and a uniformed parade of every major U.S. war in the uniforms of the era, starting with George Washington's troops for the Revolution all the way through 21st century deployments, plus every type of vehicle and rolling equipment like tanks and robots, and flyovers of all kinds of Army Air defense. I've been to parades in DC all my life. This was one of the very best ever.
I think Kate is likely sicker than we know. I feel very sorry for her.
The deadly covid-19 vaccines are killing the king and princess and millions of others.
