The current lingo is more like “my ride or my wheels”.
I know a 17-year-old who calls a car a “whip.” I have no idea how that one started. Aside from ride/wheels/whip, if he had just said “my car” or “the car” or “the Dodge” or “the Challenger,” I’d probably buy it, but, damn, “vehicle” smells. It’s just so stiff and formal, right? Like a cop saying, “Sir, please exit your vehicle with your hands up.”

Very unlikely lingo for a young, plugged-in/hip man of 22 that is also very liberal minded. It sounds like something somebody wrote for him. Somebody not very bright.
