That’s a pretty comprehensive list, but thus far she hasn’t been charged, much less convicted.
You’re taking the case for ol’ Lisa, are you, counselor?
TDS rules? “The adversary of Donald Trump, the object of my deranged hatred, is my friend and forum client.” Right?
You just can't refrain yourself from posting things that contradict Trump, can you. You can't even find out what is really happening. Instead, you post the lies coming from the BYT or the Washington Compost, or whatever left-wing rag you happen to find one of these hit pieces in.
This is what she is accused of:
Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook is accused of mortgage fraud, specifically for allegedly claiming two properties—a home in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and a condo in Atlanta—as her primary residences within two weeks of purchasing each with financing.
What you are posting is her declaration. This should not be hard to confirm or disprove as to the claim being accurate or inaccurate, but her declaration is not confirming whatsoever.
The actual documents will only make the truth be known.
Your unsupported claim, if true, would bother me a little.
But YOU bother me a LOT, TDS-afflicted proggy troll. Begone!
Good point.
On the other hand, whatever happened to “the seriousness of the charge (accusation)” ... the appearance of impropriety, wrongdoing ... the ethics standard that the demonkkraps always push out of the back of their trousers?
Lisa Cook is so lousy at cheating 3 card Monte dealers chuckle.
>> This is a well-orchestrated publicity campaign, organized by her lawyer.
✅
Didn’t New York State fine Trump $500 hundred million for real estate fraud?
Why should this woman get a pass?
As a minimum, at this point in time there appears to be a serious ethical breach that goes to her ability to be able to perform competently and ethically at her job at the Fed and maintain the public trust. Whether charges are files remains to be seen.
Now she comes across as a political hack who is personally entitled to the position. The media is running cover for her. Lesser people have resigned for lesser ethical oversights in givernment and other institutions.
But I could be wrong.
Nope. Don't really GAFF. Enough leftists dox and troll I think they can handle that.
But if you're looking for a tug or two you could probably post this over at DU and they'll oblige.
Remember, they accuse us of what they are doing. With one finger pointed at, four (3 actually )are pointed back at them
The only more compromised news service than UPI is AP, and their appeal to authority in the NYT and WP is a belly laugh.
Laws are the white man’s creation. Ain’t no black queen got time for that.
All this talk over mortgage applications, primary residence, vacation home, rental, etc.
More to the point is: Which property do they declare as homestead, for tax purposes? You can only homestead one location, the home you reside in, and county where you vote.
I get the fraud aspect of the mortgage app. but are they lying about where they live, also for tax purposes?
I don’t think this is about declaring a residence state of the lowest state income tax. It’s about getting a favorable mortgage interest rate for a primary residence vs some other real estate holding.
They are now going to claim the Senate knew this ahead of time and did not care when it confirmed her. And therefore it is no “cause” for dismissal.
It’s a good argument, but I vaguely thought one of her transgressions was after being confirmed.
I agree with the basis for the investigation, being the mortgage aspect.
I only mentioned the homestead reference as a supplement to the investigation.
If they claimed primary residence on the mortgage app., but held homestead status on a different location, it would strengthen the case.
OK, here’s another laugh, per this morning’s news: Bill Pulte’s own parents claimed two homes as primary residences.
This mortgage app affair is going the way of the dodo bird.
One of those is their old home they’ve owned a while. You aren’t required to refinance if you buy a new house but keep the old one.
With Ken working in the Capitol (and his separated wife in Dallas-area), it makes sense for him to have a primary residence in Austin.
I’m not familiar enough to know the situation onthe third one, unless that was a second move in Austin.
