Come on. The rules were different back then. They were enforced too. The old days-those that returned to the old country(30%) couldn’t hack it here leaving us with the best. I’d like to think that it made this country better. Ok so we got us more than a few lawbreakers that can help us. Make them pay a fine(which is nothing). Let them continue doing what they’re doing. Are they taking our jobs? Could be but the fact that they are working for less would tell me what too many of us won’t acknowledge-they just might work harder than the rest of us.

Yeah, back then, people who arrived at Ellis Island were separated...men from women, and kept isolated in quarantine until they were mentally and physically evaluated. They had to have a specific amount of money in their pocket, or they'd be sent back. They had to have a sponsor in the area they planned to settle, or they went back. They didn't just get to walk across the border, and have everything handed to them.
You want to make excuses for the people who have come here without permission, came here after walking across the backs of people who have been waiting in line to get here legally. How many of these illegals are you willing to take in and care for? I'm not willing to help them. They've already gotten my tax dollars handed to them, while God-loving, law abiding American citizens have taken it up the arse for decades. This country has been under invasion for many years, and you want to ignore that, and let the invaders stay. You sound like that idiot Rand Paul who never met a Democrat he didn't vote with.
