but what's your logical argument as to why these whistleblowers are either lying or mistaken?

Just a lack of concrete evidence and I mean ROCK hard evidence. In this digital age where visual images can be easily be faked, it is very difficult to know what the truth is, a blurry video is no evidence in my book.

I want to believe, I bet there is life on other worlds around other stars in the universe but the fact remains that the distances between worlds is so vast and our little blue ball so minute is all that space that the odds are astronomical (pun intended) that there is any little green men checking out our planet for any reason.

I hope that we get to meet visitors from another world in my life time, but I won't hold my breath.

The once-popular idea that they come from a distant star system has lost favor among serious researchers.

Some of the most prominent scientists who study this matter, like Dr. Garry Nolan, a professor at Stanford Medical, and Jacques Vallée, the renowned computer scientist and astronomer, have hypothesized that these beings may be from this planet (Nolan) or interdimensional in nature (Vallée).

At the same time, there is a contingent of officials and generals in the Pentagon who argue the subject should be left alone because these beings are demonic. Oddly, this hypothesis seems to be gaining ground among religious people.
