In King County Washington where my wife and I live over $20,200 was spent per student in the 2020 to 2021 school year... The actual figures are carefully hidden for the years since, but our property taxes have gone up 50% since that time and most of those funds goes to schools. At the same time student performance has continued to crater at an ever-increasing rate.
And yes, Washington State and especially King County is a “sanctuary state” and where we live it is a dumping ground for 3rd world illegal immigrants. When we go to the store we are outnumbered by about 10 to 1 most of the time. This was even true when we went to the Western Washington State Fair in Pierce County. Every day we make more plans to jump ship.
If you break out rhe demographics, you see that Asians and “whites” score above both the National and international averages. Hispanics below and Blacks well below. Taken as a whole, the results look bad.
