Blowout Cards, a major trading card retailer, said it will pay $5,000 to the Phillies fan who took a Harrison Bader home-run ball away from a 10-year-old boy after yelling at his father in the stands during Friday night’s 9-3 win over the Marlins.
“But there is a catch,” the company said the next day in a proposal on its website.
“We want that ball signed and inscribed by her — and only her, whoever she is — ‘I’m sorry’ so we can simply give it back to the kid. Our offer is official and the offer is firm.”
The woman’s identity remains unknown.

A ball in the stands is fair game and always has been.....the dad got there first so sucks being her......she’s just lucky it wasn’t some half in the bag dude with no family with him, I suspect the scenario woulda ended a whole lot different.

Kudos to the dad for de-escalating the situation, if it had been me I probably woulda thrown the ball back on the field.

Unless the ball is worth more than a few dollars, an adult should let a kid have it, whether it’s their own kid, or a kid sitting in the area.
He could have taken a more gentlemanly stance, not gasping and shaking his fingers, ya. Every boy/future man should know how to box and have experience at facing a physical foe

I don’t see that in the video. Looks like everyone else was scared of wacky lady didn’t want to pick it up. He took a chance.
Karen couldn't pick it up because she had her phone in one hand and her snacks in another. She moved her snacks to her phone hand to free up the hand to use to assault this guy. It's on the video. She didn't want to drop her snacks to get the ball, LOL

People seem to rush in from all over the stadium to get a ball in the stands.
That ball was fair game for whoever got it first.
Ugly incident.
That woman was unhinged. The father would have probably gotten an assault charge from her if he tried to do anything but give it to her.
She was completely out of control and I would have been in fear for my safety and the safety of my child if she was all up in my face like she was at the game. It appeared to me that she was quickly escalating to violence and the dad did what he would have to deescalate the situation.
And, the ball was in play until it was in someone’s hands. It was NEVER in hers, just in her vicinity which meant NOTHING. She is a hateful, POS and I hope karma hits her HARD.
People are NUTS and have killed someone for less. Team Dad.

Agree, the kid’s birthday and he wanted a homerun ball and he watched his dad hand his birthday present to a grown lady for no apparent reason. Emasculated.
