KFC is pretty good. I grew up in the Chicago area, and we had Church’s Fried Chicken in town and it always tasted better than KFC to me.
I tried Popeye’s for the first time at their shop located (then) next to the Greyhound Bus Station in downtown Chicago. This was back when Popeye the Sailor was still the mascot. IIRC it wasn’t bad.The best chicken I’ve tried in the states is Gus’s in Memphis, TN.
Most of the Asian countries where I’ve lived are big KFC fans. South Korea has the overall best chicken in the world The best chain store chicken I’ve had was at Popeye’s in the Busan, ROK train station, but the best overall fried chicken i’ve ever eaten was bought from a little old Grandma with her Hibachi out front of the baseball stadium in Daegu, ROK. Heavenly.
