I loved the 80s.
I was in a Christian Rock Band touring New England. I also was the Organist for the Church.
Those were good years for me.

I still listen to mostly Christian music, over half of it with a rock-n-roll bent from the late 70's to the mid 90's. Before the Aussie invasion of the late 90's made all of CCM into entry-level "praise and worship" style with predictable 8th note crescendos lasting 4 or 8 measures, and heavily repeated lyrics. (Even more repetition than 80's rock LOL)
Last December a buddy of mine and I went to a Petra concert. About 7 or 8 years ago I was at a concert with David and the Giants and Classic Petra. Both at the concerts and at home or in the car listening to old school Christian rock, I often ask myself if I still have the love and trust and dedication to the Lord like I did when I was a teenager.

My dad used to say: “The girl chased me around the church and caught me by the organ.”
