He knows he can do it because this country has an insatiable appetite to be entertained by sports. That’s another reason some college football players are now getting paid 6 and 7 figure incomes.

I used to love watching NFL games. It has now been ten years or so since I’ve watched one. I don’t miss it a bit.

Too bad football fans don’t have the discipline to Bud Lite the NFL.

Before 2015, I watched a little NFL. But when they didn’t rein in Colin Kaepernick, and then showed themselves to be fully woke, my watching went to zero.

Media, blech. The song was once NOT dubbed "dubbed the Black National Anthem." It was dubbed the
Negro National Anthem. Today's namby-pamby press can't even say "negro" without cringing, even though the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People was the group which dubbed it so.
James Weldon Johnson
FR had a go-around some days back about "colored" so now maybe we can go-around a bit with "negro," a word which is either 1) offensive to those whose history began yesterday, or 2) honorable and with a long history.

The Reparations Anthem was sung during the pre-game show. I was going to give the MFL another chance and watch the Dallas game for the first time in over 40 years. When they brought out the Preparation Song stack of pancakes singer, I was gone. The MFL still hasn’t learned its lesson. Gone for good this time.

We should skip all singing before the kickoff, for the entire season.
That Boyz II Men took the honors for the worst singing of the National Anthem ever.

NFL is stuck on the horns of a dilemma. They can either cater to the whims of their thug players or their fans. Can they keep coddling the players without losing the fans? I hope not. I would like to see the whole worthless enterprise go down in flames but it won’t. I know that.

UGH, now I can’t stand the Eagles even more.

The song itself is not a bad one. The problem is the idea that blacks have their own national anthem.
None of this "one nation indivisible" stuff for Democrats.

They don’t ‘slam’ anything until they walk out, tune out and disengage. Until then the league is not listening

I had the game “on” without the sound at the time she was singing.
I suspected it wasn’t the national anthem.
I turned on the sound and the sound quality owing to background noise was so bad I couldn’t make out the words.
I thought that kind of funny really.
For the NFL/BLM and NBC, I guess it’s not the presentation that counts but simply the gesture.

The song celebrates the nature of the thoroughbred’s playing the game

They cater to the thugocracy in the NFL because over 50% of the players are black.
