He’s probably not doing a good job identifying real opportunities and applying for them effectively. With a major such as his, he should have been doing internships throughout college, which would have set him up, ideally with one of those employers, for his first fulltime job.

it could certainly be an issue on the young man profiled, but a 2.5% gap between the unemployment rate for male grads and female grads is very wide and suggests something rotten is happening in the labor market
