That’s not President Trump’s call and I don’t think he has portrayed it as being such. He has simply told Zelensky he might have to give up some land as part of a peace agreement.
Why not let the remainder of Ukraine join NATO?
Can Ukraine afford the dues?
I honestly don’t care if they join NATO if they can afford the payments. I’d like to see the U.S. leave NATO. It bears little, if any, resemblance to the original NATO. It was once a valid organization, united against Soviet threats.
Now it’s mostly just another corrupt arm of the New World Order.

Ultimately, any decision to cede land must be made by the Ukrainian people themselves. And if they do, they will absolutely need strong security guarantees — otherwise, the whole exercise is meaningless, and it would be far less costly for Ukraine to simply continue their defensive war.
Russia already enjoys security guarantees from communist North Korea and communist China in the event of an invasion. But realistically — who would want to invade and live in Russia? It’s hardly an appealing place on earth. It’s a gas-station and it’s cold. Russian civilians (those with some money) understandably always try to flee to the West, where the skies are blue... whenever they can.
So if Russia has ironclad security guarantees from its communist allies, it seems only fair that Ukraine should receive equally firm guarantees from its own allies. Since Russia maintains ILLEGAL troops inside Ukraine, it’s only logical that Ukraine should be allowed to host LEGAL troops from the EU on the territory still under its control.
Then kiryandil objected: “Because NATO will be right on the Russian border in yet another place.”
Now, that’s rich. It was RUSSIA itself that pushed toward NATO’s borders by invading Ukraine and trying to seize the entire country at the very start of the war. They failed miserably — thanks to their poorly trained, underperforming troops.
And let’s not forget: Russia recently violated the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty by deploying nuclear ballistic missiles in Belarus. And Belarus, of course, directly borders NATO!
This shows Russia is run by a corrupt deep state — leaders who sign nothing in good faith, rig everything from elections to media, and recycle the same old tactics they inherited from the Soviet Union.
By stationing nukes in Belarus, Russia has set a dangerous precedent — one that gives NATO every right to reciprocate. If NATO placed nuclear weapons in the Baltic states, do you think Russia would enjoy it? Of course not. Yet Moscow had no problem doing the very same thing against NATO!
That’s Russia in a nutshell: systematically accusing others of what it secretly does itself on a massive scale. “Do what I say, not what I do.” That is the Kremlin’s playbook.
This Ukraine thing is better than the little blue pill for you.
This post is not about the war at all, yet the we-don't-support-either-side-but-we-want-Ukraine-to-lose camp can't turn the hate off for a moment.
They have to pile on the abuse to drown out all opposition and prevent discussion.

That’s exactly the answer I’d expect from Putin—who stated (in effect) the restoration of Soviet hegemony would return the old USSR back to its appropriate state on Earth.

I have never read any post from you here on FR saying the same thing concerning Russia… which is indeed one of the most corrupt terrorist states of the planet - totally dependent on the globalist communist agenda. Yes, Russia’s survival now solely depends on its close allies : communist North Korea and communist China - which are providing tons of troops, weapons, missiles, and tech to Moscow. Not to mention IRAN, which is Russia’s number one Islamic ally in the middle east, and number one enemy of America and president Donald Trump…
