To be fair, teacher unions have very little input into what is taught in public schools. Curriculum decisions are made at the school board level and at the state department of education.
Don’t get me wrong. Teacher unions are all corrupt, leftist organizations. But they don’t call the shots when it comes to lesson content.
As a side note, a big part of the problem is with the “consultants” school boards hire. Most of these consultants are a mix of woke, inexperienced, and incompetent. That’s a nasty combination.
