Florida State freshman linebacker Ethan Pritchard was shot Sunday night and is in critical but stable condition in intensive care at a Tallahassee-area hospital, the school said Monday.
According to the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office, Pritchard was in a vehicle outside an apartment building when the shooting happened Sunday night in Havana, Florida, which is about 16 miles from Tallahassee, near the Georgia state line.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
Florida State coach Mike Norvell said Monday during his weekly news conference that he was at the hospital with Pritchard's family Sunday night.

Nothing to apologize for, but I’m curious: do you figure that chat is for news that is significant only locally? Why is the fact that Pritchard is a freshman something that makes you say it’s chat not news?
