I remember reading about screenings like PSA tests and mammograms back in 2000. Every indication was we'd have better tests 25 years later, but we don't.
We do have these full body screenings and some other blood test. The high sensitivity CRP can sometimes detect cancer in general early.
The PSA is important to track. The PSA is a chemical the prostrate adds to the sperm. It softens the wall of the egg to allow a sperm in. The PSA also softens the walls of prostate cells if the PSA count gets too high. That translates to a faster spread of the cancer.
