And I never said that the crew was blameless. I don’t know. They might have some share in the responsibility for allowing crucial equipment to deteriorate. They might not. At this point, what difference does it make.
The shoal was not the cause, and neither was there a freak wave. It was the clamps and the vent pipe, which were in place but insufficient for the weather. And maybe, just maybe, the hold was overladen, which would be the captain’s fault, or the owners’. But the documentary does not touch on that subject. OK?
