You’re putting words in my mouth. I said no such thing. I told you to watch the video if you want to know more. That’s the end of my involvement in it. The crew did not neglect to fasten the clamps. The clamps, however, were worn and gave way. How that happened? Watch the video and form your own conclusions about the crew, the owners and managers, or whatever. I don’t GAGS.

I don’t know if you know this, but lots of documentaries draw incorrect overbroad and unwarrented conclusions.

Just because a documentary has an authoritative voice and mood music doesn’t mean you should shut off your brain and reflexively believe everything they say.

The fact that a hatch or vent failed doesn’t mean the crew were not culpable at all.

Did a crew member express concern about the vulnerability and it was ignored? They don’t know.

Were the failures of equipment partly due to improper maintenance or management deciding not to spend as much on repairs or replacement?
They don’t know.

It’s absolutely absurd to make a blanket statement that the crew had no culpability of any kind based on the evidence at hand.

I’m not accusing them of anything, just saying any REAL investigation would raise these questions to make deaths less likely in the future.

It’s not good enough to say the equipment failed and presumptively declare the people involved were perfect and couldn’t have done anything better.
