An Illinois man is facing homicide charges after allegedly slipping abortion pills to his girlfriend without her consent.
WMBD-TV reported that 31-year-old Emerson Evans of the community of Normal appeared Monday in McLean County Circuit Court.
Judge Amy McFarland agreed to prosecutors’ request to detain Evans pending a trial.
Evans faces two counts of intentional homicide of an unborn child, a felony comparable to first-degree murder.
Emerson Evans pressured his girlfriend to abort — she refused.
So he told the police he "made the decision for her."
Evans bought abortion pills for $50.
Then allegedly drugged his girlfriend without her knowledge or consent.
Officers found her crying in a bathroom,… pic.twitter.com/D22tgX2vN2

Yea I know I’ve been saying it for years
"If a woman makes a unilateral decision to bring a pregnancy to term, and the biological father does not, and cannot, share in this decision, he should not be liable for 21 years of support... autonomous women making independent decisions about their lives should not expect men to finance their choice." - Karen DeCrow, former President of the National Organization for Women (NOW), telling the court in 1981 that her client should not be held to a child support order on the grounds that the mother had deceived him into the pregnancy by lying about taking the contraceptive pill.
The mother can't even argue he was practicing medicine without a license because he has the same argument she has when she claims "my body, my right" despite it being the child's body.
"I didn't give the drug to her; I gave it my child."
Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal" was written in 1729.
His defense will be that it was just a clump of cells, no different from a tumor. Then the appeals court can take up that question.
So if she made the decision, no foul? Sounds like a 14th Amendment issue.
Interesting ... if, on the other hand, the baby's father wanted to keep and raise his baby ... but the baby's mother wanted to kill the baby ... and she went and did it ... well that would be perfectly OK, now wouldn't it? Because only mothers are allowed to kill babies.
The baby is a person when it’s convenient to the left. Otherwise it’s just a mass of cells.
It’s not a toomah!!!!
The issue is never the issue.
I believe this cognitively dissonant thought process has been around forever. Basically it distills to this: If the baby in utero is wanted, its death at the hands of others is deemed homicide. If the “fetus” was unwanted, it was never human.
This is why you have a “baby” shower and not a “fetus” shower.
liberal magic thinking...
if you want it... it’s a baby
if you dont want it... it’s just a lump of cells.
Tbh, leftists should have Clump of Cells Showers
They do and they are fine with the double standard.
If women want to play god and murder their baby they are fine with it, and then its not a person.
This is the worst, most evil case law we have on the books.
It subjectively allows one person to determine if another human being is a person or not. This crap law has to come off the books. No one, no group of people, should ever have this power based on their own feelings. Law is not subjective, ifs object8ve and applies to all.
Not to the left. The baby is a person when convenient for the woman. The woman makes the subjective decision, not “the left”. They may agree but they don’t make the call.
Unlikely since they are so massively deceived.
Yep. Attempted murder X2. Wife is a person and SO IS THE CHILD GROWING INSIDE HER!
Do they care?
