I am getting new computer...and having Linux put on it...ubuntu mint is good, right? Dont think I will even get windows.

Mint Linux is great.. I tried several Linux OSes going back 30 years, but Mint was the first one that I felt comfortable with. And I have stuck with it for about 15 years.

For every day tasks like Email, Web browsing, basic “Office” type stuff, music and videos etc, you won’t notice much difference between it and Windows, with the stuff that is built into it.

Adding new programs can be a little more hassle than Windows programs, especially if they aren’t in the Mint Repositories, but there are dozens if not hundreds of online help tutorials to guide you on how to install just about anything not in the repository.
