I’m an old man.
I grew up across the river from Compton.
(yes there is a Los Angeles river)
We never went there, and people from
Compton had a hard time surviving in
Paramount CA.
Hispanics and Blacks didn’t mix very well.
I was a white kid caught in the middle.
I tried to get a job in Compton,
owner said no! although he admitted I was well qualified,
I’m a white guy and he was concerned for my safety
I will say this; Compton, is hell on earth,
I pray for anybody still living there.
I know who in America are the real Racists are!
They aren’t white and they don’t speak Spanish.
I used to spend a lot of time down that way. That was before the illegals became a problem.
My Aunt and Uncle lived in Compton way back in the 1950’s and it was a fairly nice middle class neighborhood. I came back to California in 1967 and by then it was going downhill fast.
