Half the time when I hear a song’s intro music, I think of the Weird Al lyrics. Bette Davis Eyes - nope, Lou Ferrigno thighs it is.

On my ninth birthday, my mom took me to the store and let me choose an album. I picked “Get The Knack”.

The album included a song called “She’s So Selfish”. which was rather “adult” for a nine year old. It’s a good thing that my mother never paid attention to the music I listened to, lol. The song slaps, though.

I always like it when someone does a ‘Songs About Girls’ thread. :)

Yup...'Good girls don't' is the best song on that album, IMHO...but then I was 14
when I first heard it and was living it, so I have a strong connection. I knew several
young ladies that could have been the inspiration for the song. ;~). Every once in a blue
moon, the local rock station will spin it up and I am a high school freshman again.

Hüsker Dü last played live in December 1987, so you must have been at the end of the run. But I didn't think Juliana Hatfield played solo yet. She was still with Blake Babies.

I didn't know Wall Street guys like Hüsker Dü.
